Refund & Return Policy

Thank you for shopping with It Is Written Apparel. We want you to love your purchase! If for any reason you’re not completely satisfied, please review our policy below for returns, exchanges, and refunds.


1. Eligibility for Returns

We accept returns for most items within 30 days of delivery if they meet the following conditions:

  • Item must be unused, unwashed, and unworn

  • Item must be in its original packaging with tags attached

  • You must provide proof of purchase (order number or receipt)

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on:

  • Sale or clearance items

  • Gift cards

  • Custom or personalized products

  • Items marked as “Final Sale”


2. How to Start a Return

To start a return, please contact us at info@itiswrittenapparel.com with:

  • Your order number

  • The item(s) you wish to return

  • The reason for the return

Once your request is approved, we’ll send you detailed return instructions.
Please do not send items back without contacting us first, as they may not be eligible for refund or exchange.


3. Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to:

  • A defective or damaged item

  • An incorrect order fulfillment on our part

If we made a mistake, we’ll cover the return shipping and make it right.


4. Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Please note:

  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable

  • It may take additional time for your bank or credit card company to post the refund


5. Exchanges

If you’d like to exchange an item for a different size, color, or style, please contact us first at info@itiswrittenapparel.com.
We’ll confirm product availability and provide exchange instructions.
In most cases, we recommend returning the original item and placing a new order to ensure faster processing.


6. Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please email us within 7 days of delivery at info@itiswrittenapparel.com with:

  • Your order number

  • A description of the issue

  • Clear photos of the item and packaging

We’ll prioritize resolving the issue with a replacement or refund as quickly as possible.


7. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned or refunded:

  • Sale and clearance merchandise

  • Gift cards

  • Personalized or custom apparel

  • Face coverings or undergarments (for hygiene reasons)


8. Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received your refund after 10 business days:

  1. Check your bank account again.

  2. Contact your credit card company or bank — processing times vary.

  3. If you’ve done all this and still haven’t received it, please email us at info@itiswrittenapparel.com and we’ll investigate further.
